Three courses, carefully arranged.

A place to think carefully

You have built something worth understanding.

Whether you are clarifying your household structure, learning about long-term allocations, or setting your affairs in order — Pokok Capital offers a considered place to do that work.

Designed for where you actually are.

Our programmes are built around the concerns and circumstances that tend to surface after forty — not around abstract principles or generic templates.

Singapore-specific content

CPF structures, HDB considerations, Singapore estate law, and MAS-regulated instruments — not adapted from overseas materials.

Unhurried pace

Weekly sessions, workbooks, and reading lists give participants space to absorb and reflect — rather than rushing through material that deserves careful attention.

Small cohort format

Groups are kept small so that discussion stays meaningful. You learn alongside a handful of peers in similar circumstances, not in a large anonymous classroom.

Tangible outputs

Each course ends with a working document — a household summary, a portfolio workbook, or a documentation folder — rather than just a certificate.

Professionally taught

Instructors are practitioners with direct experience in their subject area — financial planning, investment management, or estate-law practice in Singapore.

No products to sell you

Pokok Capital is an education provider only. No financial products are promoted or sold during or after our courses. You leave with knowledge, not a sales pitch.

Things people often ask.

Who are the courses designed for?
The courses are written for Singaporeans in their forties, fifties, and sixties who want a structured, careful approach to household finance, investment, and estate planning. Some participants have some prior knowledge; others are starting from a fairly early point. Both are well-served.
Are the courses delivered in-person or online?
Sessions are held at our offices at 7 Temasek Boulevard, with a small portion of supplementary material available online for review at participants' own pace. We find that in-person cohort sessions produce better discussion and engagement than fully remote formats.
Do I need prior financial knowledge?
No prior background is assumed. Each course begins from foundational concepts and builds carefully from there. Participants who already have some exposure to the subject tend to find the structured review useful in filling gaps and correcting misunderstandings.
How much time should I set aside each week?
Each weekly session runs approximately two hours. Participants are also given a short reading and a workbook segment to complete between sessions — this typically takes another one to one-and-a-half hours. The total commitment is around three to four hours per week.
Will the instructors offer advice on my personal finances?
Our instructors teach course material and are happy to address questions that clarify concepts. They do not provide personal financial advice as part of the course. If a participant's situation warrants individual professional advice, our instructors are well-placed to suggest appropriate next steps.
What is the refund or withdrawal policy?
Full refunds are available if you withdraw more than fourteen days before the cohort start date. Withdrawals between seven and fourteen days before the start date are eligible for a 50% refund. We do not issue refunds for withdrawals less than seven days prior, though course credits can be transferred to a future cohort. Please enquire directly for further details.
Can I take all three courses?
Yes, and many participants choose to do so — either concurrently if scheduling allows, or across successive terms. The three courses were written to complement each other, though each also stands independently.
